Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rui Gueifão kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Botao FC booed when Penilhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, Botao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Santos to maneuver through the defense. Rui Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eusébio Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Jesus having to interfere. Botao FC's Miguel Matias suffered a concussion after 28 minutes and had to leave the field. 28 minutes into the game, André Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penilhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Botao FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Penilhos's André Alves got a free kick in the 29th minute. Joaquim Jesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delfim Fonseca in the 31st minute. Eusébio Neto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Gueifão went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 42 minutes, Delfim Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Carlos Pinto hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delfim Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. Penilhos's Joaquim Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Ferreira in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Fonseca in the 55th minute of play forced Penilhos's goalkeeper Joaquim Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Botao FC's Eusébio Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Gueifão in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Rui Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eusébio Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Botao FC's Eusébio Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Botao FC from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute, Adolfo Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Fonseca in the 77th minute of play forced Penilhos's goalkeeper Joaquim Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Gueifão in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Botao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Gueifão came free, but Eusébio Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rui Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fábio Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eusébio Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Adolfo Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Penilhos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
