Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristiano Amaral took the kick off in the first half of the match. Basílio Guerreiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hélder Andrade. If Cristiano Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Miguel Moutinho took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Basílio Guerreiro to make any attempt to save it. Basílio Guerreiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Moutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Matos having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Cristiano Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristiano Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tropeco booed when SC Gestosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Dias in the 29th minute of play. Miguel Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Guerreiro having to interfere. Basílio Guerreiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Gueifão in the 33rd minute. In the 36th match minute, Tropeco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Assunção to maneuver through the defense. Sérgio Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Dias in the 40th minute of play. If José Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Gestosa's zone, José Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Matos came out of the goal and José Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Moutinho made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SC Gestosa's zone, José Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Matos came out of the goal and José Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Matos having to interfere. Cristiano Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sérgio Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, SC Gestosa's goalkeeper Sérgio Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Dias. In the 79th minute Jorge Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When José Pacheco fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tropeco's protests and gave José Pacheco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Tropeco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tropeco's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulo Ferreira was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Gestosa's players had a chance to rest. The corner led SC Gestosa's Paulo Ferreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Basílio Guerreiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Miguel Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tropeco's Cristiano Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SC Gestosa were victorious despite being under pressure from Tropeco for much of the match.
