Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Calvelo's Jorge Assunção started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Júlio Moniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliveira Rocha in the 3rd minute of the match. Catarino Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Luís Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Assunção's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Calvelo's Júlio Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Resende in the 11th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Assunção kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Fontes. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, SC Regatinha's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Assunção came free, but Luís Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Assunção spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SC Regatinha's goal. After 33 minutes, Alexandre Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Regatinha and the Calvelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexandre Barros hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Calvelo's Júlio Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Resende in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Oliveira Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Regatinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliveira Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 minutes of play, Calvelo's Catarino Ramos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Catarino Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Catarino Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Calvelo's Júlio Moniz got control of the ball when Mariano Resende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Catarino Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fontes having to interfere. Luís Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Assunção in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Ramos in the 72nd minute of play forced SC Regatinha's goalkeeper Luís Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Oliveira Rocha, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 74 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Júlio Moniz was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Xavier Henriques fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calvelo's protests and gave Xavier Henriques a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Calvelo's Xavier Henriques got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Alexandre Barros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Júlio Moniz skillfully saved the ball. Luís Fontes came out of the goal and Jorge Assunção tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fontes having to interfere.
