Sebastião Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, SC Sepeda's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Henriques came free, but António Brás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Alberto Matias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Carocha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Sepeda the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Gaspar got free with Sebastião Cunha in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 29 minutes, Jorge Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Carocha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, José Andrade recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastião Cunha. José Andrade showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. André Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Sebastião Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Sepeda. Sebastião Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Andrade in the 42nd minute of the match. José Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastião Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. André Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Sebastião Cunha made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Vítor Henriques made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, André Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Sepeda's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastião Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to SC Carocha getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cristiano Abreu hit a great ball. Jorge Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Brás read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Vítor Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. António Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Andrade in the 72nd minute of play forced SC Carocha's goalkeeper Sebastião Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 played minutes SC Sepeda got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Carvalho. If José Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jorge Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
