After a rather tough play, Miudal's José Araújo got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 4 minutes into the game, Filipe Moura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Viseu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miudal the free kick. Filipe Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Miguel Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Óscar Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Vale hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Joel Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Miudal's Miguel Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Óscar Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Miudal's Joel Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Óscar Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Miudal got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Vieira. After 32 played minutes Miudal got a freekick which was hit by Armando Torres. Manuel Rocha missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 33 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Manuel Amorim right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Cruz in the 35th minute of play forced Miudal's goalkeeper Manuel Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Óscar Aguiar came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Miudal's Miguel Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Miguel Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half Miudal were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Miguel Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Cruz in the 54th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Vasco Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joel Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Gonçalves in the 67th minute of play. Miudal's Manuel Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Cruz in the 72nd minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Joel Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miudal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Viseu the free kick. A collision led to Miudal getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Joel Lopes hit a great ball. If Alexandre Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vasco Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Amorim having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Vasco Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Viseu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasco Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 97 minutes into the match, SC Viseu's goalkeeper Óscar Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Lopes. The SC Viseu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Miudal's performance. The match ended with a win for Miudal.
