Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Armando Esteves started the match with the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Cristiano Faro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in SC Teira's zone, Armando Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Leite came out of the goal and Armando Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th match minute, SC Teira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. When Lúcio Borba fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Teira's protests and gave Lúcio Borba a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Ceara booed when SC Teira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Armando Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Gil Soares, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Óscar Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to SC Teira getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Lúcio Borba hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Armando Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. António Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Costa in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Armando Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ceara's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Faro was the one to do the kick off. Mário Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mário Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 57 minutes into the match, SC Teira's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Esteves came free, but Óscar Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77thth minute of the game Cristiano Faro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Ceara's António Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Lúcio Borba was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. Lúcio Borba hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Armando Esteves hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match, Sérgio Carneiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Óscar Leite was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Sérgio Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, SC Teira's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Esteves came free, but Óscar Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
