After a rather tough play, Pomarao's Lúcio Amaral got a free kick in the 5th minute. Miguel Azevedo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Gonçalves during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pomarao getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Miguel Gonçalves hit a great ball. Vasco Monteiro, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If João Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Coico's Eduardo Pedroso got a free kick in the 26th minute. João Trindade's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Bruno Faria skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Catarino Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Faria made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when João Trindade sent off a good shot on target. João Trindade struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Bruno Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pomarao.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lúcio Baptista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruno Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Lopes in the 60th minute of the match. With 63 minutes on the clock, Domingos Brás commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Coico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Pomarao a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lúcio Amaral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Coico's Bruno Faria. 1-0. Bruno Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Faria having to interfere. Filipe Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. Catarino Oliveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raul Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Catarino Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Raul Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
