Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lúcio Baptista kicked off to start the match. Catarino Oliveira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Abel Correia firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Nuno Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th match minute, SC Coico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Borges to maneuver through the defense. Abel Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 10 played minutes SC Coico got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Baptista. Thanks to some nice moves Catarino Oliveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Abel Correia however easily saved by the left post. 15 minutes into the game, Miguel Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Coico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balazar FC the free kick. After having played for 16 minutes, Nuno Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balazar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nuno Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Moutinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruno Faria. SC Coico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Abel Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Azevedo in the 27th minute of play. After 29 minutes, David Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Coico and the Balazar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Coico getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. David Teixeira hit a great ball. Balazar FC's Joaquim Leal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Coico. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Teixeira in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Teixeira in the 34th minute of play forced SC Coico's goalkeeper Bruno Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Coico's Bruno Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Teixeira in the 37th minute of play. Lúcio Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SC Coico defense, Nuno Mota kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Faria. The SC Coico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Faria should have stopped the shot. After the first half Balazar FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Balazar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Oliveira came free, but Abel Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Coico's goalkeeper Bruno Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Oliveira in the 71st minute of play forced Balazar FC's goalkeeper Abel Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Joaquim Teixeira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Faria, 0-2. Catarino Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Abel Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Coico. Balazar FC's Abel Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Baptista in the 85th minute of play. A hard shot by Paulo Moutinho from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Bruno Faria's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Nuno Mota who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Bruno Faria when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 92 played minutes SC Coico got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Azevedo. 96 minutes into the match, Nuno Mota notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of SC Coico's Bruno Faria. Bruno Faria was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Balazar FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
