After 3 played minutes Ruivelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Amaral. Humberto Setúbal struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Alberto Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruivelas FC. Humberto Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Setúbal struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. João Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Vieira having to interfere. Alexandre Assis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gaspar Dias firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 25th match minute, Canastres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Esteves to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ruivelas FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rafael Leão hit a great ball. Alexandre Assiss short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Gaspar Dias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexandre Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Dias having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Humberto Setúbal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ruivelas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Ricardo Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ruivelas FC's protests and gave Ricardo Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Dantas hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Pinto in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaspar Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Ruivelas FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Macedo made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, João Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruivelas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Canastres FC's André Cruz got a free kick in the 60th minute. Alberto Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Setúbal in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Setúbal in the 63rd minute of play forced Canastres FC's goalkeeper Alberto Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Canastres FC's Alberto Vieira got control of the ball when Humberto Setúbal tried to sneak it across the goal line. If António Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Leão hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Gaspar Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Assis in the 81st minute of the match. Gabriel Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If António Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes Ruivelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Dantas. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Canastres FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ruivelas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
