Marco Tavares struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Raul Coimbra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baguim FC. Eusébio Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cândido Neto in the 10th minute of play. Cândido Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eusébio Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Coimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Nogueira in the 18th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Queirós got free with Raul Coimbra in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cândido Neto came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Bentos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cândido Neto couldn't finish the play. If Nuno Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bentos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Alfredo Nogueira scored to the left of an out of position Raul Coimbra, making the score, 2-0. 46 minutes in the game, Nuno Queirós fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Raul Coimbra having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Nogueira made a kick off. Eusébio Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Vaz in the 52nd minute of play. Alfredo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute, Alfredo Nogueira made a precise shot to the right of Raul Coimbra. Bentos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cândido Neto got free with Eusébio Maia in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Bentos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Nogueira came free, but Raul Coimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Maia having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Baguim FC had won after a very even match.
