Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Oliveira started the match with the kick off. Medeiros FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when João Oliveira scored to the left of an out of position Sebastião Trindade, making the score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingos Trindade during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Domingos Trindade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Medeiros FC's Sebastião Trindade got control of the ball when João Oliveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Sebastião Trindade successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 33rd minute, António Valente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Medeiros FC's zone, Adelino Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Trindade came out of the goal and Adelino Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Leite having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

João Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Sernande's Adelino Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, João Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastião Trindade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Oliveira in the 62nd minute of the match. André Marques made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 71stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Carlos Leite would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. André Marques in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlos Leite, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Basílio Reis's late challenge caught a Medeiros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Reis helped the player get up and apologised. 78 minutes into the game, one of SC Sernande:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. André Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Carlos Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Alexandre Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
