Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rui Torres kicked off to start the match. When José Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rome FC's protests and gave José Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. Rui Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raul Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Abel Neves, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Rome FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jacinto Jesus hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Catarino Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lagarica's supporters rose to their feet, but Catarino Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Faro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raul Mota struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Rafael Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rome FC. Jorge Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Raul Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Lagarica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rome FC the free kick. The supporters of Rome FC booed when SC Lagarica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when José Veiga in the 47th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rafael Dantas's left hand side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Mota to make the kick off. Rui Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jorge Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Rui Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rome FC's Jorge Faro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Rome FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Alexandre Assis hit a great ball. Abel Neves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Rome FC's Raul Mota got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 75th minute, Raul Mota left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rome FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Rafael Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When SC Lagarica's Rui Torres in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rome FC's goalie prevented a goal. SC Lagarica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
