The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil Aguiar was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored SC Baceiros's protests and gave Manuel Assis a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of SC Baceiros:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sarzedela:s goal. Pedro Sousa had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Francisco Abreu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A hard shot 85 in the game by Fábio Aguiar from a close distance when the talented André Rocha managed to make a qualified save. Sarzedela's players were relieved. 88 minutes into the game, Ricardo Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Baceiros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarzedela the free kick. In the 89th minute, Ricardo Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Sarzedela's goalkeeper André Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fábio Aguiar. Many of SC Baceiros's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. SC Baceiros may have spent more time on the ball, but Sarzedela were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
