The supporters of Berrega FC booed when Covide FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When David Moniz came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Covide FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Moniz couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Alves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hugo Resende. That made the score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. Álvaro Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Manuel Veiga hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Berrega FC's Diamantino Costa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Covide FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. One of Berrega FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Covide FC:s goal. 67 minutes into the match, Covide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pedroso came free, but Álvaro Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Álvaro Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Pedroso went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. When Alexandre Alves came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Covide FC fans jumped to their feet.
