When Canidelo FC's Viriato Cunha in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Azeitada FC's goalie prevented a goal. Nuno Bessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delfim Vieira hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Canidelo FC's Luís Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Gueifão in the 36th minute of play. If Paulo Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Ferro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Cunha in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nuno Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Soares having to interfere. In the 60th minute of the match, Viriato Cunha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sandro Ferro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Rui Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azeitada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Gueifão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 minutes, Rogério Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Azeitada FC and the Canidelo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Azeitada FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canidelo FC:s goal. Sandro Ferro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Canidelo FC's zone, Rui Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Soares came out of the goal and Rui Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viriato Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Canidelo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Azeitada FC a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Inácio Maia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Canidelo FC's Luís Soares. 2-2. In the 100th match minute, Azeitada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliveira Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
