After 3 played minutes Arco got a freekick which was hit by Artur Rodrigues. Adolfo Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute Nuno Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marruas FC's Luís Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Marruas FC from getting a goal against them. Tomás Vieira took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo Neves. Adolfo Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Marruas FC's Luís Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Branco in the 22nd minute of play. Adolfo Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Ribeiro in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Vieira in the 30th minute of play forced Arco's goalkeeper Adolfo Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nuno Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marruas FC's Luís Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Branco in the 45th minute of play. When Sérgio Pires fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marruas FC's protests and gave Sérgio Pires a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Sérgio Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Tomás Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Vieira succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. The supporters of Arco booed when Marruas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Viriato Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viriato Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Marruas FC's zone, Diogo Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Oliveira came out of the goal and Diogo Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Neves stood somewhat misplaced when Nuno Ribeiro came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 68 minute. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Adolfo Neves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tomás Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Neves having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Marruas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Maia came free, but Luís Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nuno Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Marruas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Tomás Vieira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Adolfo Neves made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Marruas FC's David Leão got a free kick in the 81st minute. Nuno Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Neves having to interfere. If Nuno Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marruas FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
