Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Arrouquelas's Joaquim Paiva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonçalo Monteiro in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Anjos saved SC Arrouquelas from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Joaquim Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Arrouquelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Santarém breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Joel Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Viegas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Rui Santarém when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rui Santarém made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tiago Viegas sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SC Azinheira getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Joel Machado hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, SC Arrouquelas's Joaquim Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Santarém narrowly saved just below the crossbar. António Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonçalo Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heitor Amaral in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Anjos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute, Joaquim Paiva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rui Santarém. The goal made the score 1-1. João Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, SC Azinheira's Miguel Oliveira tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Augusto Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Tiago Viegas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rui Santarém was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in SC Azinheira's zone, Tiago Viegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Santarém came out of the goal and Tiago Viegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Joaquim Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Santarém stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Viegas's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Joaquim Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Santarém having to interfere. Rui Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes into the match, SC Arrouquelas's Tiago Viegas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Santarém narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Viegas couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Arrouquelas's zone, Heitor Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Anjos came out of the goal and Heitor Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Arrouquelas's Tiago Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiago Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rui Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Santarém having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Joaquim Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Arrouquelas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Rui Santarém made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Paiva in the 98th minute of play.
