Rui Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Álvaro Morais came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SC Mazouco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Morais couldn't finish the play. When Catarino Brás fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Mazouco's protests and gave Catarino Brás a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12thth minute of the game Oliveira Pedroso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Mazouco's Rui Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Duarte Ramos's late challenge caught a Moscavide FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duarte Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Mazouco getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Duarte Ramos hit a great ball. Rui Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Leão in the 14th minute of play. If Álvaro Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliveira Pedroso in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Abel Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Moscavide FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Moutinho to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Abel Moniz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Monteiro was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. With a little luck, Moscavide FC's Nuno Monteiro got control of the ball when Álvaro Morais tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Mazouco's Abel Moniz got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bento Leão in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Amorim saved SC Mazouco from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Álvaro Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Monteiro having to interfere. Rui Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Álvaro Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliveira Pedroso might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliveira Pedroso ran back to his position shaking his head. Nuno Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Moniz in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Leão in the 89th minute of play forced SC Mazouco's goalkeeper Rui Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Moniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Álvaro Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moscavide FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
