Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Raul Esteves got the match started through his kick off. Miguel Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Esteves in the 6th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Martins got free with Miguel Gonçalves in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raul Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Miguel Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Gonçalves was a little too slow when Raul Esteves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Tendeira's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Viana came free, but Nuno Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Artur Paredes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Eusébio Trindade in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Cristiano Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raul Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Raul Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Gonçalves was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Raul Esteves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Raul Esteves really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristiano Viana made a kick off. Raul Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raul Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Viana in the 78th minute of play forced Tendeira's goalkeeper Nuno Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Martins in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Tendeira booed when Variz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Variz's Cristiano Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eusébio Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Variz's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Trindade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tendeira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
