After a rather tough play, Succaes FC's Álvaro Oliveira got a free kick in the 4th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonçalo Carvalho during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Gonçalo Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Álvaro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Succaes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Pedroso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Succaes FC's goalkeeper Daniel Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Reis. The audience held their breath when Humberto Amorim in the 29th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ricardo Pedroso's left hand side. When Álvaro Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Succaes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Oliveira couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrique Morais during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Henrique Morais hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ricardo Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Leite in the 41st minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Verdelho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Leite came free, but Ricardo Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

André Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Rogério Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Lima having to interfere. Ricardo Pedroso was a little too slow when Gustavo Leite got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-1. Ricardo Pedroso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Álvaro Oliveira in the 71st minute. The supporters of Verdelho FC booed when Succaes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Leite in the 78th minute of the match. With a little luck, Verdelho FC's Ricardo Pedroso got control of the ball when Álvaro Oliveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Succaes FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
