Cantomil FC's Cristiano Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th play minute André Coimbra came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joel Gomes. 1-0. Cristiano Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Gomes was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. A collision led to SC Bengado getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. João Pinho hit a great ball. If Cristiano Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Cantomil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Brás came free, but Cristiano Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Emanuel Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Cabral having to interfere. Joel Gomes made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Coimbra in the 29th minute. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Bengado! When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, Cantomil FC's Heitor Matias got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Joel Gomes. In the 37th minute, André Coimbra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Bengado's Joel Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Nascimento in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Cantomil FC's Cristiano Nascimento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joel Gomes. Joel Gomes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Brás was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cristiano Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantomil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the SC Bengado defense, Cristiano Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Gomes. The SC Bengado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Gomes should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute, Cristiano Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristiano Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Bengado's zone, André Coimbra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Gomes came out of the goal and André Coimbra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If João Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Gomes having to interfere. Tomás Nascimento's late challenge caught a SC Bengado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. Tomás Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Emanuel Brás's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Cristiano Cabral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. João Pinho struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Cristiano Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Bengado. SC Bengado's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
