Hélder Carneiro started the match with the kick off. Joaquim Pedroso hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, SC Florencas's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Cardoso came free, but Vítor Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Vale in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Serreta FC booed when SC Florencas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertino Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Serreta FC defense, Albertino Faria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandre Porto. The Serreta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandre Porto should have stopped the shot. Hélder Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Serreta FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albertino Faria. A collision led to SC Florencas getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Hélder Carneiro hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Cardoso to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, SC Florencas's Albertino Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Porto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Joaquim Resende fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Florencas's protests and gave Joaquim Resende a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes SC Florencas got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Resende. Viriato Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Matias having to interfere. If Amadeu Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Carneiro in the 61st minute of play forced Serreta FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Serreta FC booed when SC Florencas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Catarino Vale scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Matias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th match minute, Serreta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Silva to maneuver through the defense. Catarino Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Vítor Matias made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Armando Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Carneiro in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albertino Faria hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Joaquim Resende was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to SC Florencas getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Joaquim Resende hit a great ball. Vítor Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viriato Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Florencas had won after a very even match.
