Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Rui Rocha started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 played minutes SC Sorico got a freekick which was hit by David Pinheiro. 7 minutes into the match, Rui Rocha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Sorico's Amadeu Sousa. Amadeu Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mariano Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Sousa having to interfere. Sérgio Leite took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Dias. Fernando Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 22nd minute, Sérgio Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lúcio Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Leite got free with Fernando Dias in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sérgio Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Fernando Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jacinto Faro came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Virtelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Faro couldn't finish the play. Virtelo's Rui Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lúcio Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Amadeu Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lima in the 42nd minute of play. Rui Rocha took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeu Sousa. Amadeu Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Rui Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Amadeu Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lúcio Pinho to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Paredes in the 51st minute of play forced SC Sorico's goalkeeper Amadeu Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Virtelo getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Manuel Cunha hit a great ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Lúcio Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Virtelo's Fernando Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sérgio Leite scored 2-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 61 played minutes SC Sorico got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Assunção. Fernando Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Leite in the 67th minute of the match. Lúcio Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Dias having to interfere. Amadeu Sousa was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Rui Rocha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rui Rocha really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Amadeu Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SC Sorico getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Armando Silva hit a great ball. When Rui Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Virtelo fans jumped to their feet. Fernando Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Pinho in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Virtelo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
