If Gaspar Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Ferreira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Amadeu Sousa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Amadeu Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filipe Ferreira in the 13th minute. Filipe Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Sousa having to interfere. Amadeu Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Gaspar Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Pinho in the 21st minute of play forced Vellas FC's goalkeeper Paulo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gaspar Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Sorico getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jorge Assunção hit a great ball. Joaquim Martins, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 34 minutes, Filipe Ferreira made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Sorico's Amadeu Sousa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Filipe Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sérgio Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Gomes was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in SC Sorico's zone, Filipe Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Sousa came out of the goal and Filipe Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Lúcio Pinho made the kick off in the second half. Alberto Matias hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Leite got free with Paulo Gomes in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, SC Sorico's Paulo Gomes threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lúcio Pinho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sérgio Leite kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 57thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Vellas FC's keeper Paulo Gomes was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Paulo Gomes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lúcio Pinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. Filipe Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Amadeu Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vellas FC. Paulo Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Pinho in the 77th minute of play. Cristiano Alves hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Vellas FC's Paulo Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Pinho in the 97th minute of play. Vellas FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
