Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Armando Nogueira got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 6 minutes, Hugo Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Palhoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Jorge Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Freixofeira's Simão Moutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão Moutinho got in the 23rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mariano Maia handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Moutinho in the 25th minute of play forced SC Palhoca's goalkeeper Mariano Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Simão Moutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes, Carlos Guerreiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Palhoca and the Freixofeira players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Simão Moutinho came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Freixofeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Moutinho couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Jorge Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Freixofeira's Simão Moutinho got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Hugo Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Fernandes having to interfere. Bruno Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Barros's late challenge caught a SC Palhoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Barros helped the player get up and apologised. 64 minutes into the game, one of Freixofeira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 66 minutes of play, SC Palhoca's Ricardo Faro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Fernandes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 76th minute of the match Ricardo Faro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Fernandes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hugo Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Nogueira in the 87th minute of play forced Freixofeira's goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Maia came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Freixofeira's Simão Moutinho. But to his dismay, Simão Moutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Simão Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 minutes of play, SC Palhoca's Armando Nogueira made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Fernandes was left in no man's land by his defense there! SC Palhoca's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
