In the 2nd minute of the match Raul Resende sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Cruz skillfully saved the ball. If Delfim Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Corgo booed when Anelhe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Filipe Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Simões in the 28th minute of play forced Corgo's goalkeeper Abel Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inácio Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. David Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Coelho made a kick off. If Delfim Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delfim Pinto's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Anelhe FC's Delfim Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83 played minutes Anelhe FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Leão. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Ricardo Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corgo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inácio Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
