In the 36th minute, Paulo Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 46 minutes, Alexandre Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Benvende and the SC Cascalheira players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Paredes made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Brito in the 68th minute of play forced Benvende's goalkeeper Manuel Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, SC Cascalheira's goalkeeper Joaquim Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Pedroso. Francisco Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Joaquim Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benvende.
