Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Moura having to interfere. Inácio Anjos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Bessa in the 15th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Simão Bessa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inácio Anjos was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, Emílio Mota made a precise shot to the right of Inácio Anjos. Arnalha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Simão Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Arnalha FC's Raul Correia got a free kick in the 27th minute. Inácio Anjos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Bessa in the 30th minute of play. Delfim Miranda's late challenge caught a Bucellas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Arnalha FC's Delfim Miranda got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the game, Bucellas's Emílio Mota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inácio Anjos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bucellas's Miguel Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Bucellas from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Simão Bessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Bucellas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Mota stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Américo Moniz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Inácio Anjos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 55th minute, Carlos Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Américo Moniz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Amílcar Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílcar Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Miguel Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amílcar Amaral went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Simão Bessa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Emílio Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simão Bessa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Inácio Anjos made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Moura was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The supporters of Bucellas booed when Arnalha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Bessa struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Inácio Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bucellas. After a defensive mix-up in Arnalha FC's zone, Simão Bessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Anjos came out of the goal and Simão Bessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bucellas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
