The corner was taken by Luís Fonseca in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Granjal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Soares came free, but Amílcar Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Granjal FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Inácio Guerreiro hit a great ball. If Eusébio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Heitor Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Granjal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Vieira couldn't finish the play. Eusébio Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Nunes having to interfere. Duarte Martins succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Heitor Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Daniel Soares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palhoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

Granjal FC's Amílcar Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Martins in the 60th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Delgado during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eusébio Cunha struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. André Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granjal FC. In the 67th minute, Inácio Guerreiro had to leave the field with a concussion. Manuel Mota's late challenge caught a Granjal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Mota helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Palhoca got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Mota. In the 71st minute, Gonçalo Pereira made a precise shot to the right of André Nunes. Palhoca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 76th minute, Carlos Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Granjal FC's Amílcar Cardoso got control of the ball when Daniel Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Cunha in the 81st minute of play. Cristiano Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The referee showed Heitor Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Granjal FC's Amílcar Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Granjal FC from getting a goal against them. In the 98th minute Duarte Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
