When Álvaro Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Burnaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Domingues couldn't finish the play. Álvaro Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Moniz having to interfere. José Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Tomás Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, José Campos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Barros, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Burnaria's Rui Bessa got a free kick in the 19th minute. Burnaria's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when José Campos scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Barros, making the score, 2-0. In the 26th minute José Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Moniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Domingues in the 35th minute of play. David Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Álvaro Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Burnaria's zone, José Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Barros came out of the goal and José Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Pinto in the 62nd minute of play forced Burnaria's goalkeeper Pedro Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Outeiros's José Campos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When Pedro Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Outeiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Pinto couldn't finish the play. After having played for 69 minutes, David Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burnaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Moreira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Tomás Moniz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 72nd minute, one of Outeiros:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Outeiros. After some careless play in the Burnaria defense, Pedro Pinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Barros. The Burnaria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Barros should have stopped the shot. When Rui Bessa fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burnaria's protests and gave Rui Bessa a yellow card for diving instead. Tomás Moniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Domingues in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Burnaria's goal looked a bit too open when José Campos came free, but Pedro Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pedro Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Outeiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Pinto couldn't finish the play. David Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Outeiros were victorious despite being under pressure from Burnaria for much of the match.
