Rodrigo Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Matias in the 9th minute of the match. Lúcio Lisboa hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Queirós in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Gominhaes's zone, Adolfo Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Luz came out of the goal and Adolfo Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Gominhaes's Joel Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Filipe Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cancelada's protests and gave Filipe Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, SC Cancelada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Mendes to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, SC Cancelada's Jacinto Matias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Luz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cancelada's zone, Lúcio Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Soares came out of the goal and Lúcio Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Soares came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Gominhaes's Vasco Rocha. But to his dismay, Vasco Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Jacinto Matias came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the SC Cancelada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Matias couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Matias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Luz having to make a save. When Vasco Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the SC Gominhaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasco Rocha couldn't finish the play. If Vicente Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Luz made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Jacinto Matias sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cancelada's zone, Joel Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Soares came out of the goal and Joel Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vasco Rocha in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Soares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Rocha in the 84th minute of play forced SC Cancelada's goalkeeper Afonso Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vasco Rocha's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute, SC Gominhaes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jacinto Matias fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jacinto Matias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Rodrigo Luz made a huge save. The SC Cancelada players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Gominhaes from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
