Paulo Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Aguiar having to interfere. Afonso Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the game, Cristiano Leite cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Simão Miranda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rogério Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Miranda having to interfere. Burnaria's Bruno Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Pedroso in the 19th minute of play. Afonso Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bruno Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rogério Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simão Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Leite in the 37th minute of the match. Paulo Henriques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Cristiano Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristiano Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso Pedroso was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristiano Leite kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Simão Miranda. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Burnaria's Afonso Trindade got a free kick in the 55th minute. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Paulo Henriques sped through Burnaria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Aguiar. Burnaria's Cristiano Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Farroupo FC's Carlos Santos got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Bruno Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Henriques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Miranda having to interfere. When Paulo Henriques came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Farroupo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Henriques couldn't finish the play. Burnaria's Rogério Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 played minutes Farroupo FC got a freekick which was hit by José Campos. Rogério Nascimento in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Simão Miranda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 83rd minute, Cristiano Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Farroupo FC's zone, Rogério Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Miranda came out of the goal and Rogério Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Burnaria's Cristiano Leite in the 90th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Simão Miranda was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Farroupo FC through an amazing save. In the 93rd minute, Paulo Henriques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Burnaria had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
