Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vicente Veiga got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, SC Donim's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Veiga came free, but Bernardo Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emílio Jesus kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 8thth minute. Though ot was a great shot SC Donim's keeper Bernardo Ferreira was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 16 minutes into the match, SC Donim's Gil Assis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Américo Pires narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, SC Formosa's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Paredes came free, but Américo Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Formosa's goalkeeper Américo Pires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miguel Mendes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Diogo Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Vicente Veiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernardo Ferreira. Vicente Veiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 34 played minutes SC Formosa got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Mendes. 37 minutes into the match, Diogo Paredes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Formosa's Américo Pires. Américo Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SC Donim's Bernardo Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save SC Donim from getting a goal against them. Diogo Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gil Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to SC Formosa getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Miguel Mendes hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Diogo Paredes made the kick off in the second half. Gil Assis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diogo Paredes in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Américo Pires prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Diogo Paredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Américo Pires was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. SC Formosa's Américo Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Paredes in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Gil Assis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Donim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Assis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Diogo Paredes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Américo Pires. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 67th minute, Alexandre Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil Assis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Américo Pires made a huge save. If Diogo Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Emílio Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 minutes, Afonso Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Donim and the SC Formosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes SC Donim got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Esteves. Emílio Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Ferreira having to interfere. Diogo Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. SC Donim's Vasco Cruz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 91st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Américo Pires but with some difficulty. When Miguel Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the SC Formosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Mendes couldn't finish the play. Vicente Veiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Ferreira having to make a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Donim had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
