Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cláudio Teixeira started the match with the kick off. Humberto Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Américo Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After 6 played minutes Carvalhinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Henriques. Cláudio Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Américo Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Carvalhinho FC booed when SC Formosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emílio Jesus got free with Rui Coelho in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Carvalhinho FC booed when SC Formosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Aleixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Humberto Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Carvalhinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Rocha couldn't finish the play. After having played for 24 minutes, Humberto Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carvalhinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute, Emílio Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Veiga was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. SC Formosa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience was convinced that Vicente Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Coelho was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. If Cláudio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Carvalhinho FC booed when SC Formosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Pires having to interfere. During the 43rd minute of the match Basílio Aleixo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Basílio Aleixo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 44 played minutes SC Formosa got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Aleixo. After 45 played minutes, Carvalhinho FC's Emílio Gomes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Américo Pires came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carvalhinho FC reached it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emílio Jesus made a kick off. In the 59th match minute, Carvalhinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Torres to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th match minute, Carvalhinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Torres to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Emílio Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Formosa's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to SC Formosa getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Sandro Assunção hit a great ball. Américo Pires acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Emílio Gomes. Emílio Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Américo Pires made a huge save. Carvalhinho FC's Humberto Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 minutes of play, Carvalhinho FC's Humberto Rocha made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Américo Pires was left in no man's land by his defense there! Humberto Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The SC Formosa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Carvalhinho FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Carvalhinho FC.
