José Cunhas short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Tiago Alves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 23rd minute Bento Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Costa got free with Tiago Alves in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bento Antunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xavier Viana having to make a save. The wind increased when André Paredes made the kick off in the second half. Bento Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ingarnal's supporters rose to their feet, but André Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the game, Amílcar Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ingarnal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Ouguela the free kick. After 72 played minutes Ingarnal got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Pinheiro. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, José Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ouguela's supporters rose to their feet, but José Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Nuno Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Leal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 79 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ingarnal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! In the 81st minute there was a penalty for SC Ouguela. Cláudio Pires stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tiago Alves. 2-0. Bento Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Viana having to interfere. Gaspar Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Bento Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Viana having to interfere. A collision led to Ingarnal getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Amílcar Pinheiro hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the match, Ingarnal's goal looked a bit too open when José Costa came free, but Tiago Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Ouguela fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ingarnal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
