In the last second Lourenço Neves throw himself and got hold of the ball when Eduardo Leiria in the 2ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. SC Junquinho's Nuno Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Baptista in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Freitas in the 7th minute of play forced SC Junquinho's goalkeeper Nuno Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Faria during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nuno Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Eduardo Leiria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Rui Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Casaldelo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Junquinho the free kick. A collision led to Casaldelo FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rui Simões hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Sebastião Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Freitas in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Coimbra saved SC Junquinho from getting behind. Nuno Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Rui Simões was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 40th minute, Rui Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Gaspar charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Junquinho booed when Casaldelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Casaldelo FC's zone, Eduardo Leiria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Neves came out of the goal and Eduardo Leiria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduardo Leiria to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaspar Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Paulo Faro from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Nuno Coimbra's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Humberto Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Nuno Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Coimbra was a little too slow when Sandro Fernandes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-1. Nuno Faria struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Lourenço Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Junquinho. Lourenço Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Leiria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastião Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Neves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Luz in the 73rd minute of play forced Casaldelo FC's goalkeeper Lourenço Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Junquinho's zone, Humberto Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Coimbra came out of the goal and Humberto Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th match minute, Casaldelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. If Sebastião Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Neves came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Junquinho's Eduardo Leiria. But to his dismay, Eduardo Leiria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
