André Aguiar took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Tavares. Vicente Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Duarte Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Selhariz's Carlos Vieira got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Pinhovelo's Gabriel Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Azevedo in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes Pinhovelo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Vieira who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Adolfo Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinhovelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, Pinhovelo's goalkeeper Gabriel Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Carneiro. Selhariz's Carlos Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emílio Azevedo made a kick off. André Aguiar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Pinhovelo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Carlos Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Pinhovelo's David Martins shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vicente Tavares but with some difficulty. Adolfo Alves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Vicente Tavares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 68th minute, José Carneiro made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Marques. Pinhovelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If José Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gabriel Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Aguiar in the 79th minute of play forced Selhariz's goalkeeper Vicente Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. José Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gabriel Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, José Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Selhariz fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pinhovelo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
