Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emanuel Cruz got the match started through his kick off. Diamantino Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Nogueira having to interfere. A collision led to Nordestinho getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Óscar Matias hit a great ball. Diamantino Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Benagouro FC's José Simões got a free kick in the 17th minute. When Emanuel Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Nordestinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Cruz couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute Óscar Matias suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 19 minutes, Lucas Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Benagouro FC and the Nordestinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Monteiro got free with Lúcio Ferro in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nordestinho's goalkeeper Cristiano Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, António Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nordestinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Nordestinho's Cristiano Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Campos in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nordestinho's Nuno Magalhães got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Diamantino Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Benagouro FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. José Simões hit a great ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogério Campos to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Nordestinho's zone, Rogério Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Nogueira came out of the goal and Rogério Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogério Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cristiano Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Diamantino Lisboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Nuno Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nordestinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benagouro FC the free kick. The supporters of Benagouro FC booed when Nordestinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Nordestinho defense, Diamantino Lisboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Nogueira. The Nordestinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Nogueira should have stopped the shot. António Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. António Monteiro took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lúcio Ferro. Lúcio Ferro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. With his leg Cristiano Nogueira managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Benagouro FC's Diamantino Lisboa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. António Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. António Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Lúcio Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nordestinho. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
