With his leg Gil Almeida managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Lavradio FC's Óscar Leal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Afonso Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Almeida having to interfere. Afonso Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gil Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Almeida having to interfere. Miguel Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. João Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Vítor Alves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Azurem FC's Gil Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Faria in the 37th minute of play. If Vítor Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Ribeiro to make the kick off. Afonso Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gil Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 55 minutes, Afonso Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lavradio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vítor Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Almeida having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Fontes got free with Miguel Vale in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gil Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Alves's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Vítor Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lavradio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Lavradio FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Cristiano Monteiro hit a great ball. Tiago Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Miguel Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
