When André Sá fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pomarinho's protests and gave André Sá a yellow card for diving instead. André Sá hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Luís Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Carneiro in the 13th minute of play. If Paulo Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Cunha having to interfere. Pomarinho's Jorge Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pomarinho's zone, Marco Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Cunha came out of the goal and Marco Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute Artur Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Diamantino Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Artur Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Sousa made a kick off. Diamantino Pereira came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Pomarinho's Artur Campos. But to his dismay, Artur Campos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Baptista during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulo Sousa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Paulo Sousa was in a good position and ended up with the ball after SC Furacasas's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. Jorge Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Pereira having to interfere. Adelino Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pomarinho booed when SC Furacasas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Jorge Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pomarinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Pomarinho booed when SC Furacasas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pomarinho's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
