In the 9th minute, Adolfo Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Fontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cristiano Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Eduardo Correia hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SC Taboeira's Vítor Vaz got a free kick in the 27th minute. Adolfo Reis didn't quite understand what happened when in the 29 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Rocha got free with Simão Cruz in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Gandarela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Torres came free, but Cristiano Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Fontes came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Taboeira's Adolfo Torres. But to his dismay, Adolfo Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Nuno Rocha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Gandarela FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gandarela FC's Cristiano Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Gandarela FC from getting a goal against them. If Pedro Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sandro Setúbal fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Taboeira's protests and gave Sandro Setúbal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Sandro Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Dantas scored 1-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Nuno Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Valente hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Gandarela FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Taboeira's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Taboeira.
