Gandarela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Viana hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Casarias FC's zone, Pedro Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delfim Guerreiro came out of the goal and Pedro Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, André Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lourenço Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Nuno Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gandarela FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Sandro Cabral struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Cristiano Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casarias FC. António Coimbra hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Adolfo Reis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Casarias FC defense, Nuno Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Guerreiro. The Casarias FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Guerreiro should have stopped the shot. In the 40th match minute, Gandarela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Amaro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 44 minutes, Nuno Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gandarela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delfim Guerreiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Pedro Dantas made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Gandarela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Rocha to maneuver through the defense. If Pedro Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Rocha in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Guerreiro saved Casarias FC from getting behind. António Coimbra hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Nuno Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Rocha in the 71st minute of play forced Casarias FC's goalkeeper Delfim Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim Guerreiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Dantas went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Lourenço Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Gandarela FC's Cristiano Fontes got control of the ball when Sandro Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristiano Fontes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sandro Cabral showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 83 minute of play. Nuno Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Rocha scored 4-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delfim Guerreiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gandarela FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
