Domingos Marques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pontegaos FC's goalkeeper Domingos Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Domingos Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Baptista's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Neves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Silva. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Carlos Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Silva having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Neves in the 37th minute of play forced Bestida's goalkeeper Marco Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pontegaos FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Nuno Marques hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albertino Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Domingos Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Viana in the 52nd minute of play. Domingos Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Albertino Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Carlos Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaspar Baptista in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Domingos Marques, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albertino Viana in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingos Marques saved Pontegaos FC from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, Bestida's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Neves came free, but Marco Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Reis in the 78th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Carlos Neves notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Bestida's Marco Silva. Marco Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute, Bestida's Albertino Viana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Domingos Marques. Domingos Marques yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
