Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jacinto Cardoso took the kick off in the first half of the match. After recieving a nice pass, SC Adurao's Domingos Almeida tried to score from far away in the 3rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Cardoso in the 11th minute of play forced SC Adurao's goalkeeper Daniel Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Torres hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Domingos Almeida was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Daniel Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Cardoso in the 20th minute of play. Jacinto Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Daniel Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Rui Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jacinto Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Bessa struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jacinto Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Adurao. Pedro Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jacinto Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Machado in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Pombas's André Martins got a free kick in the 41st minute. Jacinto Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacinto Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

SC Pombas's Jacinto Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Machado in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Amaro in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui Bessa in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacinto Leite, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 65th match minute, SC Pombas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Martins to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jacinto Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Vasco Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Filipe Tavares from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Jacinto Leite's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Melo was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Machado in the 85th minute of play forced SC Pombas's goalkeeper Jacinto Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Santos's late challenge caught a SC Pombas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Santos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Adurao getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Sebastião Santos hit a great ball. Joaquim Amaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SC Adurao players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
