A collision led to Arengosas FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Diogo Correia hit a great ball. If Cristiano Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Lima in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Filipe Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baleizao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Moutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eduardo Borba charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 43 minutes of play, Arengosas FC's Gustavo Lima made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lourenço Martins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Lima to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Domingos Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baleizao's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristiano Maia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Lourenço Martins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Arengosas FC's Emílio Martins was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lourenço Martins in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
