Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cristiano Aguiar made the kick off which started today's match. After 10 played minutes Avinjes got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Trindade. Cristiano Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Resende in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Avinjes's Nuno Santos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nuno Santos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Avinjes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nuno Santos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 28th minute Paulo Assis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Viegas charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Viegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Avinjes! Jacinto Trindade shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Cristiano Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Pedroso having to interfere. When Cristiano Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Gralhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Paulo Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Lúcio Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Sá's late challenge caught a Gralhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Sá helped the player get up and apologised. The Avinjes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gralhos were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Gaspar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Cristiano Aguiar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lúcio Pedroso. The goal made the score 0-2. Cristiano Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Pedroso having to interfere. Lúcio Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Aguiar in the 63rd minute of the match. Cristiano Aguiar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 63rd playminute. Cristiano Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Lúcio Pedroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gralhos. 70 minutes into the match, Avinjes's goalkeeper Lúcio Pedroso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Assis. If Cristiano Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Avinjes's zone, Paulo Assis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Pedroso came out of the goal and Paulo Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute of the match, Nuno Rocha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lúcio Pedroso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Paulo Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
