The supporters of Correeira booed when SC Aparecida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vítor Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Eusébio Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Silva having to interfere. If Rogério Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heitor Pacheco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, SC Aparecida's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Mendes came free, but Marco Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Marco Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Faria in the 36th minute of the match. Eusébio Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Marco Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bernardo Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. When Correeira's Bernardo Faria, in the 58th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Correeira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Faria in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusébio Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Marco Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Mendes got free with Marco Silva in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Correeira's Heitor Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Figueiredo in the 89th minute of play. Jorge Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Correeira eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
