After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Albertino Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of SC Gamil booed when Percinheira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percinheira FC's Catarino Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Leite in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Leite made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Rafael Matias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Jacinto Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Albertino Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catarino Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Leite in the 65th minute of play. Albertino Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
