Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandre Jesus started the match with the kick off. 0-1 became the score in the 5th minute when Raul Araújo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Carlos Soares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Branco went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Tomás Aguiar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Tomás Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gagos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedro Barros was slow to take the kick. During this time Madeira FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Madeira FC's Pedro Barros to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Soares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gagos's zone, Raul Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Soares came out of the goal and Raul Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marco Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tomás Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Carlos Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Soares having to interfere. Madeira FC's Rogério Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Madeira FC from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. Raul Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Rogério Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Aguiar in the 56th minute of play. Daniel Pinto hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Alexandre Jesus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Madeira FC's Rogério Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 63 played minutes Gagos got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Branco. In the 65th minute, Tomás Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute Marco Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 71 in the game by Raul Araújo from a close distance when the talented Carlos Soares managed to make a qualified save. Gagos's players were relieved. Rogério Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Raul Araújo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Gagos's Carlos Soares. Carlos Soares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 83 minutes of play, Gagos's Tomás Aguiar made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogério Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomás Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rogério Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gagos. A hard shot by Pedro Barros from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Carlos Soares's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Madeira FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
