Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. André Gomes started the match with the kick off. Francisco Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Rafael Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute Sebastião Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If André Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Francisco Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Trindade in the 14th minute of play forced Cestas's goalkeeper Rafael Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Cestas got a freekick which was hit by Viriato Matias. 16 minutes into the match, Cestas's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Trindade came free, but Rafael Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Diamantino Vieira fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canhoso FC's protests and gave Diamantino Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Canhoso FC's Diamantino Vieira got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, Cestas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Matias to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Amaro in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Gomes struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Bruno Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cestas. Canhoso FC's Bruno Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Gomes in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Canhoso FC's Sebastião Trindade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Cabral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sebastião Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rafael Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 40th minute of the match Viriato Matias completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Viriato Matias a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Viriato Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Sebastião Trindade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastião Trindade made a kick off. Humberto Morais hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Rafael Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Trindade in the 61st minute of play. After 62 played minutes Cestas got a freekick which was hit by André Gomes. When Canhoso FC's Sebastião Trindade, in the 63rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Canhoso FC. If André Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Cestas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Amaros short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Rafael Cabral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If André Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, André Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cestas and the Canhoso FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Cestas got a freekick which was hit by André Gomes. Cestas's André Gomes got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered André Gomes off the ground. A collision led to Cestas getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. André Gomes hit a great ball. In the 99th minute of the match Canhoso FC got a corner. Cestas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Soares ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pedro Soares made a great header on Canhoso FC's corner, it was just that Cestas's Rafael Cabral managed to reach the ball for a save. The Cestas manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Canhoso FC to win.
